HKU Event Management System (HKUEMS) Workshop
For the attention of administrative staff involved in event organization in all Faculties/departments/units
Public events and continuing professional development (CPD) courses are among the performance indicators on Knowledge Exchange (KE) as prescribed by the University Grants Committee (UGC). With the kind assistance of Information Technology Services in 2012/13, the functions of the HKU Event Management System (HKUEMS) were expanded such that apart from publicity of HKU events, data on public events and CPD courses are extracted from the system for reporting to the UGC each year. Such data are also required by the University’s Budget and Resources Committee for reference in the yearly recurrent grant allocation exercise for Faculties from the 2016/17 exercise.
To ensure that the efforts of Faculties/departments/units in event organization could be more accurately reflected and contribute to the University’s performance in KE, administrative staff members who are involved in event organization in Faculties/departments/units are invited to attend the HKUEMS Workshop scheduled as follows:
