Recap of Entrepreneurship Academy 2025's Lecture series

The Entrepreneurship Academy is a 10-week non-degree programme offered by TEC, designed to foster entrepreneurial skills through insights from industry leaders, venture capitalists, startup founders, and domain experts.

On 20 October, Mr. David Lee, co-founder and CEO of Nex was back to HKU after a hiatus of six years! David shared his inspiring journey—from brainstorming on the rooftop of Loke Yew Hall to building Nex after leaving his role at Apple. His story took us from Pok Fu Lam to Silicon Valley, driven by bold decisions and relentless passion.

On 23 October, Dr. Lu Qi, founder and CEO of MiraclePlus, also returned to HKU. He shared his inspiring journey, analysed the main reasons why young people consider entrepreneurship, and presented vivid case studies. It was a rare opportunity for students to learn directly from Dr. Lu Qi, gaining valuable guidance and inspiration for those looking to start their own ventures.

A massive thank you to Mr. Sui Shaolong of BuilderX Robotics for a masterclass on early-stage commercialisation. Topics covered included:
Defining your Go-To-Market strategy.
Finding the courage to price and charge.
Mitigating early-stage risks and securing your first customers.

It was wonderful to see over 150 future founders engaged in the conversation!
