Presentation

Abstract:

It is not an easy task for academics to strike a balance between research, teaching, and knowledge exchange. Given the strong emphasis on research productivity in research-oriented universities, some academics think that they have no choice but to sacrifice teaching and knowledge exchange for research. In this seminar, Professor Lam will share her experience in how to integrate research, teaching, and knowledge exchange nicely to bring benefits to many parties. With five research projects as examples, she will illustrate how research, teaching, and knowledge exchange can be complementary, not competitive to one another.
