Dr Joe Lau received the Faculty Knowledge Exchange (KE) Award 2011 of the Faculty of Arts for the "Critical Thinking Web: Opencourseware on Critical Thinking, Logic and Creativity" project.
Abstract:
This talk will discuss some recent developments in online education, focusing on free and publicly accessible learning resources. It starts with a case study of Critical Thinking Web, a digital initiative at HKU. The talk will also look at other cases of open learning resources, and discuss some recent trends in using the internet to advance global education.
